We are very excited to announce a special wine dinner at Murano with Countess Beatrice Contini Bonacossi of Tenuta di Capezzana, one of the most famous Tuscan wine estates in Italy. The Countess’ family has owned the estate since 1920 and Tenuta di Capezzana has been producing wine and olive oil for over 1000 years.

Amongst the wines served will be the Villa di Capezzana DOCG, a blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in French oak and the Ugo Contini Bonacossi, Sangiovese IGT, 100% Sangiovese named after the family’s late patriarch. The wines have been paired with a special 4 course menu designed by Head Chef Em Brightman.

Roasted apricot semi freddo, cantucci crumb, wet almonds

The evening will start at 7.30pm with a welcome drink and include 4 courses with matching wines, coffee, water and service for £150 per person

We are delighted to be welcoming Paolo Bianchini to showcase his wines at Murano which Angela and the team will be pairing with a hearty Tuscan feast. Angela and Neil met Paolo and his family last year at their vineyard in Montalcino where they bonded over their shared love of cycling as well as good wine and food so we are really excited to have this opportunity to host them.

Located in the south east of the Montalcino region close to the beautiful medieval village of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, the estate of Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona can trace its routes back to the 17th century. The Ciacci family owned the estate for over a hundred years until the death of Countess Elda Ciacci. As the Countess had no children she left the property to her long standing and well respected estate manager Giuseppe Bianchini. His hard work and dedication has been continued by his son and daughter, Paolo and Lucia, who have developed the property and wines to their current respected position. The wines receive global acclaim thanks to the commitment to the terroir of and traditional winemaking practices and rank amongst the greatest producers of Brunello di Montalcino.

 The menu will include traditional Tuscan favourites including wild boar pappardelle and spiced red mullet.

The evening will start at 7pm with a welcome drink and include 4 courses with matching wines, coffee, water and service for £130 per person

We will kick these off with a very special evening with Mitch Tonks (The Seahorse) and Mark Hix (Hix) whose restaurants are also celebrating 10 years in 2018.
